Durbin Legal LLC was started to help companies and individuals navigate the legal. financing and regulatory issues for the successful completion of clean energy projects and business ventures. Over the years several of his startup clients have grown to become established, national companies.

With over 25 years as an energy and finance attorney, Paul Durbin has provided legal representation and strategic advice to companies, property owners, clean tech & energy startups and  developers in renewable energy, waste to energy and energy efficiency projects. His work includes projects in the United States, Canada and overseas. He has amassed experience in large, complex ventures as well as smaller projects.

Paul served as a partner in 2 AMLAW 200 firms and as co-chair of the renewable energy finance practice. He then went on to hold two general counsel positions, including as head of legal for a national solar company.

Experienced in energy incentives, renewable energy agreements, tax credits, leases and financings, Paul has worked on numerous commercial and residential energy projects as well as project portfolios.  He has substantial experience with Illinois incentives and REC certification.

For more than a decade, Paul has served on the board of the the Ullico Investment Fund (UIF). With $5 billion under management, UIF  invests in U.S. and Canada-based infrastructure, including energy and transportation.
